disappointment

VT Crit championship yesterday. Nick gave me a perfect leadout. As I pulled off of his wheel to make my move, my cleat came out of my left pedal. I pedaled with one foot for four strokes before clipping back in to cross the line in 7th. Nick won.


Nick is a horse driving a Ferrari that's running on rocket fuel.

    The title of you post is "disappointment" what the f--- is wrong with you. Your team won the race and you finished in the top 10 - even with a mechanical. Life is good brother, enjoy it. Shit happens in races, but when our teammates win we title the posts "Good Times" or "WE ROCK" we are never disappointed because our teammate won, especially when he/she was giving one a leadout.

    You're absolutely right, Ian. GW had an incredible season, and those of us who were lucky enough to ride in the same field as the big guy have been incredibly spoiled.

    Doesn't change the fact that our race plan called for a 1-2 finish.

    Sorry that was a little harsh. I was a little hyped after the Caps game, but maybe you should have put the race plan in the post.

    Rich, you'll soon learn that any race plan calling for a 1-2 finish is a big, BIG hope!

    Sucks that you unclipped but hey, you'll race a bunch and lose a lot before you cross the line first.
